Dana Weaver, Founder and Chairman
Dana Weaver is a business owner and experienced executive, who resides in Houston, Texas. He founded Star Protection in 2010 with a desire to create a top-tier security company in Houston. As the past co-owner of The ABS Companies, Dana served as the President and spent 26 years guiding the growth and expansion of the $150 million facility services company prior to its sale to GCA Services Group, a Philadelphia-based facility services provider. Dana is a certified public accountant (Price Waterhouse Coopers) and has a MBA from the University of Texas in Austin after obtaining a BBA from Texas Tech University.
Scott Scribner, Chief Executive Officer
Scott Scribner joined as CEO of Star Protection in 2024 and brings a wealth of knowledge in strategic client initiatives and operation in vertical markets from Class A Commercial Real Estate to Industrial Manufacturing. With over 24 years of security experience, he built a dynamic executive team working together on best practices for client service delivery while CEO of a security guard agency operating in 6 states with over 1,200 security professionals. He graduated with a BBA from Eastern Washington University and attended Stanford Ignite - an executive education program as part of their graduate school. Scott is an active member of BOMA and ASIS.
Wade Bartlett, Executive Vice President
Wade Bartlett brings over 25 years of experience in the facility service and management industry to Star Protection. He is focused on the strategic growth and brand recognition of Star Protection, responsible for demand creation, sales execution, and customer relations. Prior to joining Star Protection, Wade functioned in senior-level management and leadership roles for some of the largest facility service organizations in North America. Mr. Bartlett graduated with a BBA from Western State University in Colorado and actively participates in industry-related organizations such as: ASIS, CAI and GHPB.
Ray Smith, FSO, Vice President of Operations
Ray Smith, FSO, with nearly 23 years of security industry experience, serves as Vice President of Operations for Star Protection. He is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations, establishing new policies and procedures, cultivating a performance driven world-class team of security professionals that deliver top results to clients across the Houston area. Prior to joining the Star team, Ray managed numerous multi-million-dollar national security contracts and held various management positions in the security industry. His security expertise spans high-rise properties, maritime, retail, technology centers, oil and gas, gated luxury residential communities, industrial manufacturing, churches, and private schools. Ray has a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix and is an active member of ASIS, ASSIST, and is involved in CAI. He is currently the Designated Officer/ Primary Company Representative for the State of Texas licensing.
Dwayne Antoine, Senior Director of Operations
Dwayne Antoine comes to Star Protection with over 12 years of direct management experience in the security industry. He has functioned as a security officer, site supervisor, field trainer and general manager. Dwayne is a gifted leader who puts the welfare of our officers first while managing our client’s requirements and expectations. He has an Associates of Business Management from Northeast Louisiana.
Tydon Bell, Director of Training
Tydon Bell joined Star Protection in 2024 bringing over 15 years of security experience. As Director of Training, he brings his knowledge and experience to all levels of security personnel employed by Star Protection. Tydon utilizes his experience from his five years as a Harris County Deputy Constable to elevate policies and procedures at all job sites (armed and unarmed). He is a level 3 trainer including all weapons training, inspection, and compliance. Tydon is a certified instructor for the American Red Cross.
Blaine Weaver, Senior Account Manager
Blaine Weaver brings 8 years of security experience to Star Protection. In his current role, he utilizes his extensive management and field experience to manage client relationships ensuring their expectations, protocols and requirements are met. Blaine develops authentic relationships with our field officers and has an acute understanding of our service standards. He holds a Texas DPS Non-Commissioned security license and has attended numerous training programs and seminars to enhance his security expertise. Blaine graduated from Vanguard University.
Terence Lynch, Senior Account Manager
Terence Lynch joined Star Protection with over 20 years of security industry experience. He is revered for his knowledge and experience in security protocols and processes. As a Senior Account Manager, Terence uses his extensive field experience to manage client relationships ensuring their expectations, protocols and requirements are met. He also completed numerous security training and certifications programs to enhance his industry expertise. Terence studied aerospace engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Katrina Baker-Calvin, Accounting Manager
Katrina comes to Star Protection with over 20 years of accounting and payroll experience. She manages billing, payroll, accounts payables and collections for the company.
Elizabeth Mendoza, Scheduling and Dispatch
Elizabeth Mendoza joined Star Protection as a Scheduler and currently has over 10 years of experience. She graduated of Houston Community College with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences,
